El Coyote Blanco — Directed by Alexander Cobian, Cinematography by Fidel Melara — follows a light-skinned Latino known as “the white coyote” as he guides a diverse group of immigrants through the harsh desert between the U.S. and Mexico. Among them are a Spanish-speaking Chinese migrant, a Haitian traveler, and a deported Chicano from East L.A. When border patrol closes in, he must earn their trust and lead them to safety. The film explores identity, belonging, and the modern redefinition of what it means to be Latino in America.
